Although not the First Australian Paramedic Practitioner Degree, as stated by the Victorian Premier Dan Andrews media department and Monash Universities media department, it was great to see an announcement like this to advance primary healthcare development within the Paramedic Practitioner scope of practice. Great to see a third Australian University bringing a Masters level qualification into the development of Paramedic Practitioners within Australia.

Both Edith Cowen University and Deakin University have been running Paramedic Practitioner Masters Programs for a number of years now, however it it really positive to see further growth in this space. Hopefully more Australian Universities will also start implementing Paramedic Practitioner Programs in the future as well.
