The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and AIPP have formally established a Memorandum of Understanding that sets out a framework for cooperation and coordination which will assist both organisations, collectively and within their relevant jurisdictions, to meet their constitutional objectives; effectively support and represent the interests of their members; and ultimately to improve health outcomes in rural and remote communities by:
- Promoting and supporting primary healthcare skills and education
- Promoting integration of paramedics at all levels of the primary healthcare system; and
- Increasing access to a skilled medical workforce in rural and remote communities.
This important relationship will enable Paramedic Practitioners to develop and maintain highly collaborative and professional relationships rural General Practitioners.
